In the gracious low country just south of Savannah, Georgia, the residents of Magnolia Manor on the Coast are dispelling a number of myths. One of them is the myth that most seniors need assisted living. Those at Magnolia Manor certainly don't. Whether 62 or 92, our residents are living active, vital lives on their own, independently. And we're only too happy to oblige them. That's why we offer so many opportunities for independent seniors to remain independent for life.

Like our residents, Magnolia Manor subscribes to the "use it or lose it" philosophy. To encourage "using it," we have a fitness room with strength-training equipment and free weights, a water-aerobics pool, an aerobics classroom, and miles of paved, walking/jogging paths. And we're the only senior community in the Savannah area with a certified Senior Fitness Instructor on staff. What's more, we offer a variety of other activities that combine both exercise and fun, including beach-ball volleyball, adaptive softball, golf and tennis outings, and the ever popular croquet and horseshoes.

From bridge and canasta in our game rooms, to dinner and dances in our dining room, to supper club outings, to recitals and concerts, there are ample opportunities to make the kind of social connections that a balanced life demands. We also offer guest speakers and lecturers on literature, history, nutrition and health, and mind-sharpening memory improvement seminars.
